Native American Couple Sneered at by Cleaning Lady at Shakopee Sports Center

This is not a good year for pow wow.  Shakopee which is the best so far was besieged by storms and menace of flooding.  The pow wow had to be moved to the sports arena's skating rink.  Cleaning ladies at the washrooms were angry and pouting.  They wipe the counters every time someone has to use the sink.  Their resentment was noticeable but Native American dancers just ignore them and go about their business.

On, Monday, August 19, 2007, a Native American couple that just tore down their tent had to clean up and use the showers of the sports center in Shakopee, Prior Lake, Minnesota, a Sioux Indian reservation.  The cleaning lady (of European descent) and her friend who's all dressed up, make-up and all stared at the Native American couple and asked each other.  "Where did these people come from?"

They were sensitive to their guests' needs; showers for the campers, free water station everywhere, golf cart transport around the pow wow sites and tents for shades.  They even take care of the bees.
