June 9, 2005 - we were back from Danville, Illinois where the 13th National Pow Wow happened. 30 years ago, the National Pow Wow was sponsored by this friendly town. Lots of vendors showed up who where here 30 years ago. Quite a few gentlemen dropped by our booth to visit with Thomas. Thomas really appreciate such show of respect. We want to stress that such wonderful gestures didn't go unnoticed.
Although I and Thomas were involved in pow wows 30 years ago, we concentrated on Chicago Pow Wows. We used to go to the Pow Wows with the late Sam Begay,
The pow wow turned up to be successful because it was well organized, most everybody stayed in the site and dancing was done till the wee hours of the morning. It was unbearably hot. The temperature was playing along 90 degrees. I kept pouring ice water on myself. There was only an occasional whip of fresh air. Most of the time, the heat seemed to stop the air from circulating.

On thursday, July 7. 2005, I met a lady named Pam F. Jameson. She purchased a little turquoise earrings.
Friday morning, she came back to show me the earrings on her. The turquoise earrings matched her outfit. Then, she asked me if she could buy an electric fan for me. She noticed that I badly needed one. I was taken off guard by such an offer of kindness. I gave her $20 and off she left to go to the store. Thomas was apprehensive. What if she doesn't come back.

To my delight, she came back with the electric fan and receipt of the purchase. I hugged her speechless. I thanked her from the bottom of my heart and gave her a big deal on a purchase of a necklace. Here's a stranger that I will cherish as a good friend.
Pam, if you happen to read this, I will keep my promise to you to pass on your kindness to somebody else in need.
